Our Story

Our name comes from a saying that has been handed down from the women on my dad's side of the family to remember that we are strong and when tested come out of the fire more beautiful then we went in. My grandmother has always told us, "Darlin, you are Porcelain. Fine China and Clay go into the fire and crack or break, Porcelain goes into the fire and comes out stronger and more beautiful than it went in."  She is the inspiration behind the name and will always be one of the many strong people in my life. 

What started as a craft project with my daughter and I turned into to something so much more. I fell in love with the art of making candles, spending countless hours blending fragrances and testing out creations until we got everything just right! Porcelain Candle Co only uses the highest quality fragrance oils, that are both infused with essential oils and phthalate free. Each fragrance is then blended with 100% vegan soy wax and poured into recycled glass jars made in Spain. I hope you love them as much as I have loved creating them.

This candle was created based on a scent memory from my friend Edi from Pine Daisy House. I will let her tell you what it was inspired by! It was my honor to make her scent memory into a candle that is great all year round! 

Walking on a mountainside trail through a pine forest has been one of the most rewarding ways to spend my time. Couple it with the warmth of the sun and the crunch of pine needles under my feet and I feel like I’m home in the woods. During my late teens and early 20s I spent a few months each summer working at a camp in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. I met my husband during those days and even now I can remember the smell of summer in those high alpine forests. 

It’s the smell of warm sap, fresh mountain air, pine, and the earth under my feet. Together, with the talented team at Porcelain Candle Co. we have collaborated and created this very scent. I’m proud to present Sunny Pine. 

This scent takes me to those summers and the mountains I affectionately call home. I hope it carries you away to moments of adventure as well and spurs you on to making your next memory outdoors
